The Clutch Series: My Take on the NLCS Dodger Stadium Homestand

The Dodgers lead the NLCS 3 games to 2 after the Dodger Stadium home stand. Here’s my take on the big plays from the games in LA.

Oscar Martinez

I was born in the shadow of Dodger Stadium and immediately drenched in Dodger Blue. Chavez Ravine is my baseball cathedral, Vin Scully was the golden voice of summer all my life, and Tommy Lasorda remains the greatest Dodgers manager ever. My favorite things are coffee, beer, and the Dodgers beating the Giants. I also blog about my baseball card hobby at All Trade Bait, All the Time.

  1. They lead the series. That’s the good part. The offense has not really clicked yet, nor have they really figured out the Brewers pitchers. But I would love to see them end this tonight so there is no game 7.

    1. I would agree with that. I am always happy when they make the series. Last year I expected it, this year I have not.

    1. Going on for years, Dodgers swear Giants stole signals in 1951 playoffs. Red Sox-Astros series, same thing. And yeah, I would say they do not get many right if they are stealing them.

  2. Well that good feeling did not last very long. Very un Ryu type of inning and Brewers score 4. Dodgers get 2 on in the top of the 2nd, but do not score.

    1. Because they believe he cannot hit right handed pitching. It is of course a fallacy. But that’s the saber metric way.

  3. Well, game 7 tomorrow……deja vu all over again. Buehler on the bump against Chacin. Lets hope he is the Chacin they scored all those runs off of. They need to take the momentum away immediately. Freese got them on the board and Ryu was off and that was that. After the first inning they were never in this game.
