Dodgers Rain Out, Baseball Card, Beer Review Fun Time

The Dodgers got rained out today, so here’s a little video to keep things rolling while we wait for tomorrow’s game.  I’m going to open a value pack of 2018 Topps flagship baseball cards and hunting for Dodgers cards – or at least some fun cards I can send to my fellow card collectors.

Also in today’s video is a beer review. I try a new one from To Ol Brewery in Denmark. It’s a sour ale brewed with a ton of black currant. Sounds like an interesting beer. Enjoy!

I was born in the shadow of Dodger Stadium and immediately drenched in Dodger Blue. Chavez Ravine is my baseball cathedral, Vin Scully was the golden voice of summer all my life, and Tommy Lasorda remains the greatest Dodgers manager ever. My favorite things are coffee, beer, and the Dodgers beating the Giants. I also blog about my baseball card hobby at All Trade Bait, All the Time.

  1. That’s more like it. Still not good WRISP but 2 sac flies is something. Stripling didn’t beat Scherzer but he might have. Good game.

Strikeouts bug me. Strikeouts looking kinda piss me off. These guys just don’t even know protect the plate principles, let alone execution. To me it’s a serious flaw. And it’s common sense – even on bad contact you’ve got at least a 10% chance of the ball falling in. You strike out it’s 0%. We know from watching Captain Kirk continually succeed with 10% or less odds that it can be done.
