I was born in the shadow of Dodger Stadium and immediately drenched in Dodger Blue. Chavez Ravine is my baseball cathedral, Vin Scully was the golden voice of summer all my life, and Tommy Lasorda remains the greatest Dodgers manager ever. My favorite things are coffee, beer, and the Dodgers beating the Giants. I also blog about my baseball card hobby at All Trade Bait, All the Time.

  1. Y’all realize that if the PPP wasn’t such a travesty that the Dodgers would have over 30 wins and have losses in single digit. Again, I say the Dodgers are doing well in spite of the FO and the PPP.

    Wrap you melons around that.

    1. The bullpen does seem to be the team’s biggest blemish. And perhaps what is holding the team back from an even better record.

An even better record. It’s a good problem to have though, no?

It’s like those who lament the biggest problem the Dodgers have is getting to the World Series and not winning it!

Yes it’s (they’re) a problem, but let’s be happy these are the biggest problems the team has.

  2. It is weird because they have faced the same problem on every team that has won the division the last 6 seasons. Bullpen issues on all of those teams. Kenley is effective though. Even with his loss of velocity, he gets people out. His cutter does not seem as sharp all of the time, and if I have seen one major flaw it is that his pitches are up in the zone more often than they used to be and all that started last year.

  3. “To tell you the truth, I wanted to have the second surgery right now so we could just fix it and I’d know everything was OK,” Jansen says. “But I know what an opportunity our team has this year and my responsibilities here.
