I was born in the shadow of Dodger Stadium and immediately drenched in Dodger Blue. Chavez Ravine is my baseball cathedral, Vin Scully was the golden voice of summer all my life, and Tommy Lasorda remains the greatest Dodgers manager ever. My favorite things are coffee, beer, and the Dodgers beating the Giants. I also blog about my baseball card hobby at All Trade Bait, All the Time.

I agree Oscar. Good riddance. He had a few moments in Dodger blue, but what will always be remembered no matter what he does as a Cub is his World Series meltdown.
Bunch of articles out there, speculating on what other major FA options the Dodgers may pursue. Likely only very small deals that have little to no lux tax impact. The FBZ bid for Darvish was for less years and less money. I just don’t think they will blow their lux tax space.
I think you were right about Darvish at the beginning, because you were always adamant that we shouldn’t get Darvish.
I changed my mind, because I am not sure Darvish would be the workhorse, that we really need.
Six years for a pitcher that is already 32 is a lot of years, and a lot of money.
The Cubs will probably be pushing the luxury tax pretty soon.
The Cubs have not been good at acquiring and nurturing good young pitching, so they have to get starring pitching this way.
I do think Buehler will have a better year this year, because he is another year away from having TJ surgery, so he should have better command this year.
I think Ryu is going to surprise people this year too.
Former Dodger pitcher Esteban Louiza said to have been in possession of 40 pounds of cocaine. That is one hell of a high there folks…..had to be selling the stuff….1 day til pitchers and catchers report.

So you predict the Cubs will win the pennant.
Not at all…….too much can happen during a season. It is and I know Bluto will love this…a crapshoot.

I predict Ryu, if healthy all year, will easily win at least 14 games. Big improvement on McBrittle and Quagmire.

That we agree on, I think some under estimate Ryu.
He pitched that last playoff game, and he wasn’t healthy then, but he did a great job.
He is a stingy determined pitcher, that knows how to pitch.

Yes, i don’t think the 40 pounds was for personal consumption.
I agree……Dodgers in serious talks with Chase Utley
