Dodgers Reportedly Circulated Simple Rally Slogan on Player Chat….”F–K Everybody”

Sunflower Seeds Dodgers

The Dodgers got the monkey off their backs on Friday night, releasing several years of postseason frustration by defeating the immature Padres 2-0 in the winner take all game 5 of the NLDS clinching the series and advancing to the National League Championship series where they will face the Mets on Sunday night at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers fell behind in the series and had to overcome a 2-1 series deficit in order to move on. The Dodgers also had to deal with San Diego’s constant taunting, heckling and trash talking which was also directed towards Dodger fans throughout the series. Game 5 saw Yoshinobu Yamamoto deliver five scoreless innings and the bullpen blank the Padres for the final four. The Dodgers got two big hits against San Diego starter Yu Darvish. Enrique Hernandez (One of the most clutch postseason Dodger hitters of all time) crushed a second inning home run into the left field pavilions. Teoscar Herandez also hit a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh (also off of Darvish), which landed near the same spot as Kike’s homer. The Dodgers did it in front of a raucous crowd and celebrated by spraying Champaign in the clubhouse after the game.

It was one of the most gratifying and satisfying Dodger wins in postseason history. All Dodger fans including myself thoroughly enjoyed it. The Padres are a nasty and arrogant club, and deserved nothing less than a beatdown to send them home for the winter. Dodger’s manager Dave Roberts reiterated how badly he wanted to beat them. It might not have happened though if not for the players circulating a unique rally slogan on their player’s only group chat after game 3. The message was simple,  “F—K Everyone””.

That’s the kind of fire that breeds championships. The Dodgers have had to overcome a lot of obstacles this season to get to this point. Injuries to their starting rotation, offensive slumps and broadcasters who continued to bet against them. Ahem Derek Jeter, Arod. Kiké Hernadez, Max Muncy and a couple of the other players started the chat which was similar to the one they started during the 2020 NLCS when they had to overcome a 3-1 series deficit to beat the Braves. The Dodgers went on to win the World Series that year.

Speaking of mother F—ers, I was recently called out by another Dodger writer.  Mark Timmons of Ladodgertalk, called me a moron. Mark has been on a rampage of late over there. Almost every other post of his includes him calling people morons, as well as some of his own commenters. Mark is the creater of Ladodgertalk and was instrumental in me starting this site. Mark and I were once friends, but that soured a few years ago. I won’t go into the details, that’s a story for another day. But he gave me this domain after I wrote for him at Ladodgertalk for 6 months. Mark turned on me, trivialized this blog and then insulted me on several occasions. See his nonsense below.

The Idiots (Morons) wanted Dave Roberts to be fired. They pined for it. They wished for it. They wanted it. They planned for it. They really wanted it to happen, but they are stupid, jackass, idiot, senseless morons. I don’t care. Good Riddance to bad rubbish. I would list their names (beginning with Scott Andes), but I won’t give them any glory. I only say good things about commenters who are gone: “They are gone… good!” F_________ You and the horse…  ~Mark Timmons Ladodgertalk

To be fair, I am kind of a moron. I’m not infallible. I have my warts. I’ve never called for Dave Roberts to be fired, (I’ve always liked Roberts) but I have been very critical of Andrew Friedman, and have called for him to be fired many times. You see the Dodgers are like our children in a way. Sometimes we love them and other times we want to spank them when they lose. I wear my emotions on my sleeve when I write about the Dodgers. When the Dodgers win I am ecstatic. When they lose I am frustrated and angry. Mark is an egomaniac. His massive bloated ego is bigger than Dodger Stadium. He needs constant adulation from his posters or he blows a gasket. He’s retired and unretired from Dodger writing more times than Brett Favre and Tom Brady combined.

I admit I have a temper at times, and it’s gotten me in trouble before. I do respect Mark, but he’s a total blowhard. Instead of celebrating with other Dodger fans, he’s wasting time tearing other people down. I think Mark forgets that we’re all Dodger fans on the same team. Guys like Mark give bloggers a bad name.

My advice to Mark is a simple one….Get a life.

Kiké Hernandez said this about the 2024 Dodgers…….

“We have a lot of ‘F U’ in us.”

And so do I.

  1. Timmons is a self absorbed bloviating narcissist with unresolve issues. F*ck him. He is a shallow man and his “moron” schtick is all he has left.

    1. Yes he’s a total dick. He should cut out the gloating and taunting. He’s worse than the Padres and go back to his mansion in Indianapolis with his millions.

      What a douchebag.

  3. Just wondering if you do this on purpose (if so, what is the intent?), or just no editor on staff?
    This time:
    Slogun (non-existing word) > Slogan
Champaign (the name of a city) > champagne
    Regardless, FTP

      1. Wow, can’t even ask a question about whether a typo was intentional or not! And two consecutive complaints from the same poster… Talk about “get a life…” Anyway, Scott, thanks for the response. I know that proofing your own work is difficult, ’cause you tend to see what you wanted to type (what’s in mind) rather than what’s actually on the screen. Have you considered letting your readers (or someone else) do a quick edit prior to posting, just for that final cleanup?
I stand by my FTP comment, but now that we’ve dispatched the Mets too, it’s on to “FTY”!! 4 more.

        1. That’s not a bad idea actually. I could use help over here in any fashion.

“cause you tend to see what you wanted to type (what’s in mind) rather than what’s actually on the screen. ” That’s exactly what happens to me. sometimes I’ll find a mispelled word, or typo weeks later and think, “how in the world did I miss that? I could have sworn I edited that correctly”

          FTP, and FTY indeed.

  4. With your comments on another blogger, I’m repeating my call for that article about the online Dodger blogging community.
