It’s 2021 and spring training games are underway. We got our first look at the 2021 Dodger’s exhibition squad on Sunday afternoon. Big Matt Davidson smashed the first home run (a smash over the left field wall and onto the grassy knoll) of the spring for the Dodgers during their 2-1 win over the A’s in Mesa, Arizona. The 29-year old infielder is no stranger to the long ball as he hit 52 home runs during his MLB career. He’s hoping to join the club when their regular season begins on April 1 at Coors Field in Colorado. If he keeps hitting home runs he’ll make a good case for himself. Trevor Bauer debuts on Monday. Dodger Baseball is back!
Invitees really working hard to make an impression. Great to see this, especially since many of these guys did not play in the minors last season. But, we all know how awfully hard to make opening day roster on the Dodgers. Spring Training is basically a minor league matchup so they are not facing major league pitching yet.
Had a Hot Dog and a Beer yesterday, while I watched on the tube. Sure felt good!
Go Dodgers!
