Dodgers Player of the Game

Max Muncy and Teoscar Hernandez get the nod with each hitting two home runs apiece on a fantastic offensive night.

My Thoughts: What a difference a night makes as the Dodgers’ offense came alive. 17 Hits and putting up 12 runs is simply amazing. Max Muncy showed us all how much we missed him by hitting two bombs, and Mookie Betts looks to be turning his season around and is hitting the ball hard. It’s always fun when the home runs are flying out, and tomorrow the Dodgers will look to win the series against the Cardinals.

Next Up: The Cardinals will send out Mathew Liberatore to face off against Shohei Ohtani. This will be an afternoon game with first pitch scheduled for 1:10 PM PST on Sportsnet LA.

Growing up and living in Oklahoma I fell in love with the game of baseball from an early age from playing T ball through High School. I have always had an admiration for the Boys in Blue with how the Dodger Way is the right way to play the game. Tommy Lasorda is my favorite manager of all time and my all-time favorite players are Jackie Robinson, Pee Wee Reese, Sandy Koufax, Pedro Guerrero, Mike Piazza and Clayton Kershaw. I am enamored with Dodgers history from the Brooklyn days when they were Dem Bums to the days of Fernandomania to Mannywood and beyond. Vin Scully will always be the best announcer the game has ever seen and it will always be time for Dodger baseball. I am married to the love of my life Melissa who gave me the inspiration to actually take on this crazy idea of writing about the Dodgers and without her support I would not be able to do what I love. My cousin Zach Chase and uncle John Chase for being a Dodger encyclopedia and sharing their knowledge with me. I will bring my perspective and love for the team to readers and I will most likely have spelling errors from time to time but I promise ill do my best on it. I want to bring you a unique perspective on your favorite team and also throw some humor along the way. I love to talk about baseball with anybody who will listen and I look forward to the Dodgers going back-to-back in their quest for another World Series Championship. Dodger Blue through and through.

  1. I don’t think the inning by inning retelling is value. you can get that many places, and even if you couldn’t it doesn’t add much.

I really like and find value in your comments and observations.

    1. There is going to be a lot of our comments and observations over here. There always is. This site is built on 10 years of comments and observations. There will also be a lot more inning by inning retelling. Possibly even batter by batter. We can get even more granular with our recaps. You might not want to read them if they are not your cup of tea.
