The Dodgers escaped game 6 with a win on Halloween night to force game 7. The scariest scenario on all hallows eve was the Dodgers losing the World Series, but thank God that did not happen as the boys in blue pulled out a narrow 3-1 win at Rogers Center, highlighted with a game ending double play. Tyler Glasnow came into to relieve Roki Saski in the bottom of the ninth and snuffed out a potential Blue Jays series winning rally by getting a clutch double play to end the game. It was the absolute most clutchest play of all time.
But it’s important for me to tell you how they got there. Dodger’s starting pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto tossed another gem but ran out of gas after the sixth inning. The Japanese right hander tossed six innings of one-run ball allowing just one earned run on five hits, walking one and striking out six. The lone run allowed came in the bottom of the third on a George Springer run-scoring single to score Addison Barger. Springer has been battling injury and looked to be in pain after every swing.
There was nothing more painful than watching the Dodgers bats flail througout the series, but they were able to plate three runs in the top of the third against opposing starter Kevin Gausman. Tommy Edman doubled, and scored on an RBI double from Will Smith. Then later in the frame, Mookie Betts stroked a base hit into right with the bases loaded to score two. The Dodgers went up 3-1.
With Yoshi out of the game by the seventh inning, that’s where things got dicey for the Dodgers. Justin Wrobleski pitched around a two-out double from Ernie Clement, striking out Andres Gimenez to get the Dodgers out of the jam.

The Dodgers loaded the bases in the top of the eighth after Shohei Ohtani doubled and the Blue Jays walked Mookie and Freddie Freeman, but Seranthony Dominguez struck out Teoscar Hernandez. The Dodgers called on Roki Sasaki to pitch the bottom half of the eighth.
The Rookie ran into a little bit of trouble, but got out of it. Springer singled just past the outstretched glove of Freddie. After Nathan Lukes flied to center, Roki Walked Valdimir Guerrero Jr. Bo Bichette popped out in foul ground to Mookie, and Varsho grounds out.
Move to the bottom of the ninth. With Sasaki still on the mound, Alejandro Kirk is hit by a pitch in the wrist. Then Addison Barger’s deep fly to center goes over Justin Dean’s head and the ball gets lodged in the padding at the bottom of the center field wall. What incredible luck for the Dodgers! The ball is ruled dead and it’s a ground-rule double. The run does not score and it’s runners at second and third with nobody out.
Dave Roberts makes the gutsiest decision of the season, hooking Sasaki and bringing in Glasnow. Clement immediately pops out. One out! Then Gimenez lines out to shallow left, and Enrique Herndandez runs into make the catch on the run and fires to Miggy Ro. The runners had already taken off and Barger is doubled up off of second to end the game! Dodgers win! Happy Halloween Dodgers fans! We’ll see you tomorrow night!

I hope the Dodgers win tomorrow, obviously.
But this has been a great WS, and another great season.
It really has.
