Dodgers Player of the Game

No doubt about it, Justin Wrobleski, who went eight innings and only gave up 2 hits, earns the nod.

Better to Forget:

Max Muncy had a bad night at the plate by going 0-4 with four strikeouts.

My Thoughts: It’s always good to start a series with a win, especially after losing to the Texas Rangers yesterday. The Dodgers’ Justin Wrobleski pitched the best game of his young career as he attacked the zone and kept getting ground outs after ground outs. Andy Pages hitting a home run off a breaking ball shows how much of an adjustment he has made since last year, as breaking balls are no longer his weakness. Shohei Ohtani getting plunked in his first at-bat right between the shoulders had Dodger Stadium gasping for a moment. The Dodgers now sit a MLB league-leading 12-4 and sit 2.0 games up on the San Diego Padres.

Next Up: The second game of the series will see the Mets send Nolan McLean to face off against the Dodgers Yoshinobu Yamamoto. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 PST on SNLA.

Growing up and living in Oklahoma I fell in love with the game of baseball from an early age from playing T ball through High School. I have always had an admiration for the Boys in Blue with how the Dodger Way is the right way to play the game. Tommy Lasorda is my favorite manager of all time and my all-time favorite players are Jackie Robinson, Pee Wee Reese, Sandy Koufax, Pedro Guerrero, Mike Piazza and Clayton Kershaw. I am enamored with Dodgers history from the Brooklyn days when they were Dem Bums to the days of Fernandomania to Mannywood and beyond. Vin Scully will always be the best announcer the game has ever seen and it will always be time for Dodger baseball. My cousin Zach Chase and uncle John Chase for being a Dodger encyclopedia and sharing their knowledge with me. I will bring my perspective and love for the team to readers and I will most likely have spelling errors from time to time but I promise ill do my best on it. I want to bring you a unique perspective on your favorite team and also throw some humor along the way. I love to talk about baseball with anybody who will listen and I look forward to the Dodgers going back-to-back in their quest for another World Series Championship. Dodger Blue through and through.
